Rising appetite
Who says that beer is just a drink? Beer is an excellent ingredient for cooking, too! Take a peek at this mouth-watery recipe to create some tasty and fun appetizers :)
Yield: 6-8 portions
What you’ll need:
- 130g flour
- 50g grated cheese (preferably Parmigiano Reggiano or Grana Padano)
- 1 egg
- 100ml beer
- 25ml seeds oil
- 1/2 packet of yeast
- 70g cheese of your choice - preferably with a medium-strong flavor
- poppy seeds (optional)
- salt and pepper to taste
In a bowl, mix the beer, seed oil, egg, salt and pepper.
In a separate bowl, mix the grated cheese, flour and yeast.
Incorporate the two, and then add the other cheese of your choice chopped into little squares.
Spread some other oil or butter into the muffin cups or tray, and pour in the mix up to 2/3rds of the cups height. Add a few extra pieces of cheese and poppy seeds (if you wish) on the top fr extra fun and flavor.
Cook into pre-heated oven at 180°C for about 25 minutes. Let them cool a bit before serving.
